Abstract

:

A research proposal describes planned research activities. It is the plan submitted to an institutional Review Board for review and may be submitted to a sponsor for research support. The research plan includes a description of the research design or methodology, how prospective subjects are chosen, a description of what will happen during the study and what data analysis will be used on the data collected. Whether proposal receives funding will rely in large part on whether the purpose and goals closely match the priorities of granting agencies. Locating possible grantors is a time consuming task, but in the long run it will yield the greatest benefits. This paper aims in explaining how the proposal should be drafted keeping the key elements in mind.
