    Abstract

    :

    The wide application of electronic switched devices with non-linear operation has increased the need of power quality without power loss. Various compensation schemes are illustrated for developing a power lossless electric distribution system. The Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) device is use to maintain the power balance in distribution network. The placement of the UPQC device is found by using the Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm. The power unbalance branch was utilized in the Distributed Generation (DG) network. There are several types of UPQC device is used in the distribution network based on their applications. In the proposed work, used the Multi Objective Artificial Bee colony (MOABC) optimizations algorithm to address the power issues in DG networks. The designed MOABC solves the issues by using the multiple objectives such as an optimal place, an optimal solution to locate the device and design parameter of the UPQC. In this proposed ABC optimization, the UPQC range, Power loss, and the proper bus to use for the mentioned problem are calculated. The technique is applied over IEEE 30 bus system and simulation study is made using MATLAB to prove the system efficiency.
